It looks like the Breaking Benjamin comeback tour is for real, as the band announced today that they’ll be continuing their trek in support of 2015’s Dark Before Dawn, the first album they released since 2009 following a 4 year hiatus. The band has been on the road off and on since 2015 and spent this past summer touring various amphitheaters with Disturbed (review here) and are now set to play a short run of headline dates in the new year.
Breaking Benjamin are set to kick things off January 10th in Silver Springs, MD at The Fillmore and playing up and down the east coast before climbing aboard Shiprocked for a 4-day rock cruise from January 16-20. After that they’ll go back up the coast before wrapping up in Cleveland at the end of January.
A Cyber Monday pre-sale started at 10AM local time today (Nov. 28) with the standard public on-sale set for 10AM local time on Friday (Dec. 2). The Cyber Monday sale is available in limited quantities and VIP package and all other information can be found at Breaking Benjamin’s website. Dark Before Dawn marks Breaking Benjamin’s first and only studio effort since returning from a hiatus that ran from 2010-2014 and followed a legal battle in which frontman Ben Burnley won the right to continue making music under the Breaking Benjamin name. Burnley returned as the only member of the band’s previous lineup, filling out the band with a new cast of characters who have gone on to play two full tours and will now headline in early 2017.
