Evanescence Announce Fall US Tour

WHOA! File this one under “where did this come from?” – Little Rock based rock band Evanescence – yes, Amy Lee’s Evanescence – have announced a 16-stop US tour scheduled to kick off this fall, seemingly out of nowhere. Earlier this year there was talk of Amy Lee working on a children’s album, and the future of Evanescence was uncertain. Now, though, that picture looks to be clearing up as the band are set to get back on stage in October, and while there’s no talk of a new album just yet, we can only assume that the short tour is a primer for bigger things in 2017.

The tour kicks off in Dallas, TX on on 10/28, sticks around the Southern US for a little bit before barreling up the East Coast, ultimately culminating right here in our area at The Paramount in Huntington 11/23. In case you haven’t guessed, we’ll be looking to cover that and will have a photo gallery and review following the show if we’re able to make that happen. Amy Lee spoke to Rolling Stone (h/t Loudwire) about the upcoming tour, saying “Just when you thought I was off the hard stuff! It’s going to feel amazing to step back on stage with the band this fall. We had such a tight gel solidifying on stage the last few shows, and were enjoying it so much, we were all lamenting that it was so short and have been on the lookout for more opportunities to play live.”
