REVIEW: I Love The 90’s Tour at Sands Bethlehem

It was a chilly December night, but that didn’t stop fans from pouring into the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA. Everyone was gathered inside the venue on December 2, 2017 for the “I love the 90’s Tour.” Acts featured on the lineup were Young MC, All-4-One, Coolio, Rob Base, Salt N’ Pepa, and Vanilla Ice. DJ Spinderella kicked off the show which ramped up the audience for what was coming next. The crowd had no idea that they were in for a treat! You can hear the fans screaming as they waited for their 90’s superstars to walk out on stage. As I turned around, I noticed several fans in the audience were wearing black t-shirts with neon letters that read “I love the 90’s.”

The setlist consisted of chart topping hits from the 90’s that brought the audience down memory lane. Other big hits included “It Takes Two”, “Gangsta’s Paradise” and “Shoop”. The venue was packed with wall to wall patrons. During the show, fans were invited on stage to sing and dance with their hip hop icon. Even the MC got the crowd singing songs in between sets. One popular song that everyone sang along to was “Don’t Stop Believing by Journey”.  This was a huge interactive dance party that lasted nearly 3 hours! Saturday’s concert was definitely a 90’s show that you will never forget! Vanilla Ice headlined the show with confetti falling from the ceiling, flashing lights in the background and a smoke filled stage.

He played his biggest hit “Ice Ice Baby” while splashing water onto the crowd. During his performance, Vanilla Ice jumped off the stage and sang to the crowd while leaning over the barricade. As the hip hop icon moved closer to the crowd, everyone screamed louder in excitement. The party even continued in the lobby after the show. There was a DJ playing to 80’s and 90’s music. Everyone danced and sang to the music while drinking a few beverages and chatting with friends. The tour doesn’t stop in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania…..there will be another show coming up on December 15th in New Orleans, LA. You also don’t want to miss the Ship-Hop Cruise that will take off from Miami, Florida on January 11, 2018. This mini getaway will feature more of your favorite hip hop artists including Kid N’ Play, Naughty by Nature and Color Me Badd!
