Iron Maiden Announce 2017 North American Tour Dates

Big news from the Iron Maiden camp today – the band has announced a second trip through North America on their Book of Souls tour, and if that wasn’t cool enough, Ghost will be opening for them!

The trek kicks off June 3rd at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA and, short of any additional dates being announced, will wrap up right here in Brooklyn, NY at Barclays Center! Could this news be any cooler? Iron Maiden is touring the US again, with Ghost and closing night is right here in our backyard? Well, yes, it can get cooler because they’re playing two shows in our area including the 3rd night of the tour at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, so we’ll have two chances to catch Maiden and Ghost!

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Jan. 27, but if you join the band’s official fan club, you’ll receive access to a pre-sale three days earlier. Fans can also purchase a Trooper VIP upgrade package that grants them “early access to the venue, a pile of Trooper goodies and Iron Maiden swag, Trooper beers, food and a designated area to meet with other fans.” (This works, because the Ghost fans might possibly outnumber the Iron Maiden fans)

Here’s what bassist Steve Harris had to say about the band’s second North American leg to The Book of Souls World Tour“We are really looking forward to returning to North America for a full tour. We will, of course, be bringing the full production with us including all the Eddies and the Maya-themed stage sets. We’re still deciding on the final set-list and we’ll work that out once we get into rehearsals. Most of our North American fans haven’t seen the show yet, so as we want to give them the same Book of Souls live experience that we took around the world, it’s unlikely we’ll change much. And of course we know our fans appreciate us playing a lot of the older songs too, so we will continue to do that!”
