Megadeth Announce North American Tour with Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok

MEGADETH have announced a second leg to their North American “Dystopia” tour, this time to feature Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, Metal Church and Havok as supporting acts. Also of note is that on this leg of the tour, the band will be playing arena and amphitheater dates as opposed to the small venues the band played on the first Dystopia trek with Children of Bodom. For Suicidal Tendencies, they’ll continue to support Megadeth, as they were also on the first leg of North American dates earlier this year. Metal Church recently played a short run of North American dates with Armored Saint early this summer. Amon Amarth toured North America in support of their latest album, Jomsviking, earlier this year, and will be back on the road in the US and Canada with Megadeth, again supporting that album.

This announcement was originally supposed to come a week ago, after a leaked video showed Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine seemingly announcing the tour before it was official. However, the announcement was clearly delayed a week and Suicidal Tendencies, who were not mentioned in the leaked video, are also on the lineup. In addition to the tour announcement, the band also released the highly anticipated video for their latest single off of Dystopia, Post American World. You can check out the video here.

The Dystopia tour kicks off on September 20th at Casper Events Center in Casper, WY. It’s worth nothing that Suicidal Tendencies will not be appearing at that show, along with select others. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 22. Check for specific market info and local on-sale times and dates. There will also be an exclusive pre-sale for Megadeth fan club members. Pre-sale tickets for Megadeth Cyber Army club members will begin on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. local time at ‪ The tour rolls through our area on October 14th, when they hit Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. We’ll obviously work to cover that date and bring you a full review if we’re able to make that happen. For now, check out the full list of tour dates below, and right under that you can see the very bad ass tour poster.
