Prophets of Rage Set To Make America Rage Again

Prophets of Rage, the Rage Against The Machine/Cypress Hill/Public Enemy supergroup featuring Tom Morello, Tim Commerford  and Brad Wilk of RATM, along with B-Real and Chuck D of Cypress Hill and Public Enemy, respectively, are set to hit the road this summer on the Make America Rage Again! Tour. The group recently announced limited dates, which has since been followed up by the announcement of a full slate of US tour dates beginning with EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA on August 19th, and culminating at Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA in October.

The early speculation with the “Make America Rage Again!” slogan was that we’d be getting a RATM tour, but that was not to be. Instead, we get Prophets of Rage, who played a couple dates out in LA to officially announce the formation of the group, shows that have generally received positive reviews. I’ve always been a fan of Rage Against The Machine, and anything Tom Morello touches turns to gold (Street Sweeper Social Club was awesome), so it’s going to be a welcome experience to see the guys from Rage teaming up with B-Real and Chuck D when they come through the NYC/NJ area later this summer.
