This announcement has been a few months in the making, and it is now time to make a formal announcement. Sometime in September, Soundboard Magazine will merge with Crowdshots Media and will at the same time cease operations. Soundboardmagazine.com will remain online through the end of the year, however no new content will be published and no requests for coverage will be accepted. Emails for such requests will also not receive a reply as our email address will no longer be monitored as this chapter comes to a close and I move into the business side of entertainment photography – i.e. making money.
This decision comes at a time in which I need to focus on my business and branding and can no longer shoot for free and be expected to publish editorial coverage, and I will be moving to a strictly for-hire business model in the immediate future. As such, it is time to bring Soundboard Magazine to an end and merge it with my business, Crowdshots Media. Our email address will be updated in the coming weeks, and an official shutdown date will be announced at that time.
To all the publicists and artists we’ve worked with over the past 2+ thank you, and we hope to be able to work with your artists on a contract basis for live or promotional photography in the future.
It’s been a fun couple of years, but like all other good things, this too comes to an end.
