Trivium Announce North American Tour with Sabaton + Huntress

Heavy metallers Trivium have announced a run of North American tour dates with Sabaton and Huntress. Trivium have already been hard at work this year, touring it up all over the world in support of their latest album,Silence in the Snow, and they’ll return to North America for another month-long run beginning September 15th at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio.

Trivium frontman Matt Heafy said in announcing the tour, “America! We’re coming back to party with all of you. This year has already seen countless cities in numerous countries, and now is the time to bring it back to our home country with our brothers and sisters of metal. We are beyond excited to have one of our favorite bands on the planet, Sabaton on the bill; and we are absolutely stoked to have the incredible Huntress out with us as well. We will be bringing you a show to remember; playing all your favorite tunes off your favorite records.”

For Sabaton’s part, they’ll be hitting the road just under a month after the scheduled release of their forthcoming album, The Last Stand, which we wrote about here when the band released the lyric video for the album’s first single, The Lost Battalion. Sabaton’s run of tour dates will obviously be supporting the new album, and it’s worth noting that this time around, they’re hitting North America first before touring Europe. I saw Sabaton when they were on the road with Nightwish in 2015, and they are an absolute powerhouse live. Needless to say, I was hoping for a headlining tour from them, but any chance to see Sabaton will certainly suffice. Here’s what the band had to say about their upcoming dates with Trivium:

“On the Heroes tour we came to North America three times and now it’s time to return,” Sabaton write. “This time we will do it with our brand new album The Last Stand which will hit stores on August 19th. This means that fans in North America will be able to enjoy the new songs before anyone else. We are joining the great band Trivium for the full run and are sure that fans who come to see us will have a great evening!”
